cclib 0.5 was presented at CompLife '06 at the University of Cambridge, U.K. by Noel O'Boyle on behalf of all of the developers. There was a free software session consisting of twelve 5 minute presentations, followed by a two hour poster session/demo/reception. Here's my poster, and here's the talk.

Here am I at the point where someone told me to use the microphone. You can see that Chris Swain, the author of iBabel ('Not Just File Conversion' :-), is clearly paying attention.

The poster makes its appearance here. I'm talking to Peter Murray Rust (aka PMR) one of the principal driving forces behind the use of Open Source software and Open Data in chemistry. Check out his blog. (This picture was taken before I returned the luminous bag to the registration desk.)

My poster was cunningly positioned halfway between the buffet and the CDK (Chemistry Development Kit) stand, two focal points of interest at the reception. Here I sympathising with Maxim Federov regarding the problems parsing files in Fortran...another convert to Python???

Shin-ya Takane seemed impressed by the capabilities of cclib and GaussSum, although he was wondering about the possibility of using cclib from Java. Initial studies show this to be a non-trivial problem.
